A little bit of both actually, it's really hard to decide... in comparison, bringing up a family in S'pore is safer, cleaner but the lifestyle there to be honest, is rather archaic & stifling.
I mean sure the transportation system is efficient and you do get better stuff in terms of shopping, education, jobs, etc - that's 'bout it.
If I absolutely had to decide, it'd be M'sia without a doubt. Although somewhere outside of KL probably, lol=P

None of the above, sorry...

Without a doubt - Malaysia.

Singapore feels claustrophobic & the rules & regulations are a killer. Malaysia is more free & easy & has plenty of countryside to visit plus beautiful islands etc.

Say what?

Both..

i cant help it, i love both.

maybe not KL but some other states of Malaysia.

i adore singapore. the convenience of living in singapore is unbeatable..just yet.

but if i really2 have to choose, i choose malaysia.

I would prefer KL if the politic and all are still ok. Yes, S'pore is alright even some of my fren migrate there... but i really dont like all the restriction. But if only our country have half the restriction and rules, including putting it to work, Malaysia will be a better place to live.

For myself I would pick Singapore. I have been to malaysia many times and enjoy the food, entertainment etc but I love singapore more.

Singapore offers a place where you can go out in the night and still be safe. A country where the streets are clean and green.

It is true there Singapore have many rules and laws but it is also these rules and laws that make this city state one of the safest place to be.

I love Singapore

malaysia is good in terms of food entertainment shoppping, sight seeing .ladi back environment.... but to settle there i have doubts about the security

singapore is good in terms of employment , security and convience.(transport especially). u will never get lost

despite have much regulations and laws if u dont go against it theres nothing to worry about.. i have no idea why some people actually want to challenge the laws

so i guess singapore

I'll divide my time between these 2 places.Singapore is well -organized ,clean (the city as well as the government),more systematic ,more and bigger shopping complexes, more high tech etc.Whereas Malaysia is a more beautiful country, people here are more relaxed, the food here are definitely nicer, living condition is better as we live in houses and can have our own garden, and most importantly my family is here.

singapore of cos.

ok, ppl. be REAL. there's no bribery in singapore, the crime rate is very low, u won't kena 'tangkap basah', get fined for khalwat, muslims here have the freedom to do whatever they want, as a woman - i feel damn safe whenever i go home late at night alone, getting shot and getting your body blown up into pieces is unheard of etc. etc.

ok before the thumbs down, i've got a disclaimer: i feel bad saying all this because i have very good friends in malaysia and i used to date a very nice malaysian guy but sadly, they agree it's strict too. Except for KL. KL rocks and the beaches and beachtown of Malaysia are gorgeous. No doubt about that.

but the question here is, where would you live - and i'd easily say singapore, without a blink of an eye. (not just cos i'm singaporean cos i'm thinking OUT OF THE BOX for this question.)

but seriously, given the choice of other places - i'd rather live in bali or spain :)

Singapore.
1. More cosmopolitan.
2. Women looks sexier, prettier and has fairer, flawless skins.
3. I don't spit and I can live without chewing gum.
4. I can ride the MRT coming from end to end even if I have only 0.10 cents left on my top up card.
5. People in our condo are workaholics, and don't go to swimming pool often, so I enjoy it alone most of the time.
6. Less chances of getting my precious SG$800 mountain bike stolen.
7. Free english newspaper.

KL definitely. Singapore is claustrophobic and depressing, and on top of that I don't want to live in Big Brother's house. The regulations there are plain stupid, like no spitting, no chewing gum...come on!!! I don't care if the salary is bigger in Singapore, the expenses are also much higher. I find most of Singaporeans very arrogant and rude, and I know they'll rush in to thumb me down, like they always do to users who complain about them in Malaysia or any other section. They are racists and Islamophobes.

Edit:
I don't care about spits on footpaths but I mind sticky chewing gums. Yet, what's wrong with chewing and throwing it into rubbish bin? I don't chew but I'm not bothered with that. If they want to ban something, let them restrict smoking like they did in the EU countries! =)
