Summer is fun time in the Philippines. Even if your destination is Manila, you must go to nearby towns and beaches. People are outside of Manila in summer. Either they hie off to Baguio or Tagaytay where the temperature is lower, or to the beach to enjoy the water.

many times... though humid, and the traffic and pollution is bad, there are tons of activities to do and interesting places to go... the best thing about Manila is shopping... there are tons of shopping malls and centers, and bargains... the prices are affordable and the products have high qualities... the most popular shopping malls are SM (such as SM mall of Asia, SM Megamall, SM North EDSA, etc), Ayala Malls (such as Glorietta, Greenbelt, Alabang Town Center, TriNoma, etc)... there are also bargains - the most popular one is Quiapo - known for its cheap prices on items ranging from electronics, bicycles to native handicrafts.... there are also malls that are for upper-middle class - such as Shangri-La Plaza, and Rockwell Powerplant Mall... there are really tons of beautiful places to go in Manila - if you are into Nature - go to Manila zoo, or Manila Bay - if you are into history - go to Intramuros, and other old churches... there are tons of clubs, and parks... plenty of resorts...

During Summer, the air is humid and there's the tendency that your skin will errupt. As if you have chicken pox. You better come here during the month of August to February. I hope you will be here bringing along with you mosquito repellent to protect you from mosquito bites with "dengue".

I am here living in Manila, it's realy hot and humid during summer but there are beaches in the country side if you want. It's the best time to get tun LOL.

Summer is really hot in Manila. Suggest you go during Christmas when it's cooler.

Good place to lose weight by chasing jeepneys and taxis around to get a ride! Its hot and humid there, rarely rains, only from june to december.

It's warm. I suggest that you go to Baguio or som of the beaches(Boracay, Palawan, Bantayan)

Go to Boracay Islands in Aklan or Amanpulo or Pearl Farm in Davao City instead of wasting your vacation time in the Manila Traffic Jam.

I used to live there for a long time, It is not unlike any other Asian Capital City, although it might be more American & Christian (Roman Catholic) than any of them. And the people are generally more hospitable, helpful & more receptive of foreigners.

I think Manila is a corrupt dirty city. I will not even land there in the airport as every time I go to Manila I have bad experiences.

i am living in manila right now, i would like to say to you that don't trust quickly the people here in Manila because some of them are bad but mostly bad specially you are the foreigner they just want your money only,ok?

be sure to bring a gallon or more of mosquito repellant.
be sure that your mouth is close when you are not talking or a fly
may fly in.
