I had my hip broken at 13 and had 3 bolts(pins) put in it and then another surgery a year later to remove them. It wasn't really painful, more uncomfortable and hard to get around i/e body cast!

two - cesarean delivery and tonsillectomy,
its funny though, that when they cut me out for the delivery, i was wide awake and still can see the openings and the baby (saw it from the reflection of the mirror-like lamps), and i can recall the conversation i had the the operation team,
but when i had my tonsil out, i passed out completely during the procedures, only to woke up with the pure torture of pain....god! it was so painful.

hushpuppy
yes... but minor ones..

like stitches on my toe... from walking straight into a hollow pole

more than 20 anaesthetic injections on my heel (i bet you it's the MOST PAINFUL of all) around my ankle, around my calf and still to remove oyster shells off my heel is extremely painful - especially when the surgeons dont stop laughing at your injury. and think you are lying about the pain. arghh...

the only voluntary surgery that i would be considering taking would be... liposuctionnnnnn
