Marketing tactics, rather decrease the size of products than increase the price. Haiz, everything here also getting more expensive. Especially food and transportation fee. |

I could few the pinch cos everytime I go back KL for holiday, either the price went up or the size of the food shrinkkkk. And I realised shopping at pasar malam is no longer an economical measure because your RM50 will no longer have change. I still see RM50notes as big, as the "was valued" stayed in my mind for so many years but reality really bites I guess.
I hope my favourites kopitiam at the corner of Jln Imbi didnt goes up so quickly! |

It has gone up, and it is hitting us 'nicely'.
My weekly shopping for groceries, toiletries and sundries have increased by about 40% more, without realising it.. It is now almost close to month end then I noticed my money is left with so little.
As for food, yeah maybe we thought the price remains, but looking closely at it, the portion gets smaller. In the end, we have to order a bigger protion, and it is back to square one... The price has gone up!!!

Yeah, in most Chinese coffeeshops in PJ, hawkers are selling around RM3.80 per bowl/plate of food. Some places now at RM4.00. Economy rice are around RM4.00 - RM5.00, where previously can still get at RM3.50.
It's been awhile since the Walls & Nestle ice-cream were sold in smaller tubs at the same price, though. |
