i am yet to find my first love. ha ha!

based from my friends' sob stories about lost first loves though, the first "cut" really was the deepest, the most painful because it was the first time that they trusted and given their love to someone only to have that love spurned, their trust betrayed and their selves hurt. thus, the next time that love came knocking at their hearts, they became guarded and wary as they now know that loving comes at a great risk and having themselves vulnerable means giving their loved one the power to hurt them.

they are now aware that with love comes the probability of heartaches that even time sometimes has difficulty healing. they know because they may even be still carrying the wounds and scars of their first loves gone wrong that they find it difficult to trust and love again.

must be the reason why i am so wary of loving. :P

I somehow agree. I admittedly still think of him. It's hard to forget him because he's the first to make my heart beat. I think he has a new loved one now or is happily married.

Oddly enough i don't have a first love nor a last. i just didn't find the right girl for me

I've asked this same question to hundreds of divorced ladies....they never get over their first love. They may have a love/hate relationship but deep down....they never get forget the first.

I have been happily married for 25 years. I'd never in a million years go back to my first love. I happy with my husband but....if I had to be honest....I often think of my first love. We were kids and it was a sweet time for me.

Yah I agree ,that is why they say first love never dies...and since it was the biggest blow in your life the possibility is .it is hard to move on specially if there was no closure or the closure was really sad and unexpected.............oh love hurts.....!!!
