NEVER!!!! NEVER!!!!!
I'm always a pedestrian. I cook my own food. I don't need hairstylists. They shan't take my last quarter for food! Never!
EDIT: And if this quarter happens to be a dollar, this taxi driver, waiter, hairstylist and all would have to gang up on me to get this, and kill me first !!!.) |

Taxi Drivers - Ususally Yes on the rare occasions I use them, if the cab is clean inside and they either lower the volume of the raidio or turn it off.
Waiters- Usually Yes, unless I get very slow service. But, I never get slow service at my usual resturants because the waiters know me and always give me excellant service. If I get slow service it's because it's a new waiter who doesn't know I give tips if properly taken care of.
My Barber- always.
But what needs to be remebered is Tipping is a western culture thing. It is not required, but always appreciated.
Remember too when you stay at a hotel that charges 20% service charge for room service that the hotel, not the waiter gets that money. If you want to tip the waiter, give him cash because the kuriput hotel manager will evan keep the tip off a credit card. |

Yes, I tip waiters, taxi drivers, etc. These workers depend on tips to make up the bulk of their income. Restaurant servers are only paid around 2-3 dollars per hour, the rest is expected to come from tips. The same with other service workers. A fair tip is thought to be about 20% of the food bill, not including tax. |

When I visit Philippines, I always give a good tip to the barber who cut my hair. The price for a hair cut in Philippines is very very below the price you would pay in the states. |

I give tips to waiters......The usual 15%.
I tip hairstylists just a $1 or 2. Shhh. I go to the cheap Supercuts and get a cheap haircut. For a more expensive haircut, maybe I would leave more.
I don't take taxis here in my hometown. If I did, I'd leave a tip. |

i just say keep the change, but i pay in loose change., i don't carry plastics or cards, religious prohibition, that is,
but to those who gave exceptionally good services, i'm very generous in tips and ask them their names, how to be contacted, compliment them to their superiors and/or refer them to friends. But i do the opposites too. |

Yes, 20 to 25%. I tip anyone in the service industry because the tip is usually factored into their salaries. They depend on that money to make minimum wage in some instances. |

I give tips to my hairstylist, the girls doing my mani-ped, and sometimes to the taxi driver if he is nice. I only give tip to the waiter if I dont get billed for a service charge but most often than not, I always give tip |

You should always tip for services. These people make a living out of this type of work and stiffing them from there tip is not nice. If you are unhappy with the service, you can still complain and let the person know you are not happy but you still tip them something, but be sure to let them know so they are aware of it and they improve if they want to earn more next time. |

These days, I am used with giving tips! But before I don't and I can't because of being in a tight budget. Now that I can spend extra, I normally give tip as a way of sharing my blessings... |

I always tip generously. I learned that from my parents and it's just plain good karma. It shows how much I appreciate their service. |

Yes if they didn't do anything to piss me off.
For taxi drivers: I give them the change OR additional 20 pesos if they were nice and quiet and didn't demand extra money. If they were rude, if their car smelled, if they nearly killed me driving, they get nothing.
For waiters: I leave 20% if there is no service charge. 10% if they were average and there is SC. Nothing if they messed up.
For manicurists/masseurs/spa attendants: 50 pesos tip if they did fine. 100 pesos if they were exceptionally good at what they did. Nothing if they hurt me or did something I didn't like. |
