Most Chinese women are very reserved and those who are not may not be the most sincere, although I do not want to generalize. So it is unlikely that you will be able to meet a Chinese woman off the street or in a bar. The best way is to be introduced through friends or co-workers. The next best thing is through a dating website. Try www.plentyoffish.com or www.matchdoctor.com which are completely free unlike other websites where you need to pay a fee to contact people. Again, always be careful, but I think most Chinese women on these websites are sincere, faithful, most of the time relatively well-educated and smart, hard-working, with good moral values, basically the kind of women you would be proud to introduce to your mother! They may not be fluent in English, but they are probably all taking night classes to learn the language. With the economic development and opportunities in China, a lot of Chinese in large cities and urban areas have a good standard of living, so I doubt that many of these women are attracted to westerners for their money. Like one of the answerer above say, Chinese women and asian women in general appreciate maturity, strenght and experience in a man, qualities that are valued more than youth and other physical attributes.

I would suggest you be VERY CAREFUL. Did you see what was in the newspaper today? A man who loves latinas met a brazilian woman through an on-line dating service and became her boyfriend. He bought her a new car, gave her $$$ to start up her own business, lots of gifts. He never came home from his last trip to brazil. The brazilian police arrested her. She and her REAL boyfriend drugged this guy, kept him locked in a room until they drained all his bank accounts ($200,000), then strangled him with copper wire and then set his body on fire.

Well, if you are a foreigner and living in China, pretty soon you question will be, 'How do I manage my Chinese girlfriends?'. Believe me its not that difficult, try walking around Xin Tian Di in Shanghai. A lot of the girls will just want someone to spend time with & of course spend money on them.

Now maybe you will meet one of those English speaking Chinese girls, one of those real intellects you know. The one that makes a little bit more money than the locals. They will only go out with foreigners especially the white ones, they consider the locals too Chinese.

Third, you can always find one night stands at a slight cost if you really want to. Heck, I have seen 50 year old man with Chinese girls half their age walking in Shanghai, just cos of the money, you know. Its not as bad as Bangkok or Manila but its still pretty materialistic society if you asked me.

Try www.asiafriendfinder.com also. Like any singles web site be careful. Check for retouched photos, if their emails seem to loving and flowery then they have a service translating for them and they really do not speak much english. I would stick to women who live in Hong Kong and Shanghai though many who live there don't speak much english but, want to find a nice foreigner who can help them out. Also, Shanghai and Hong Kong are easily accessible to foreigners and safer havens for tourists. If you are an older male like I am then asia is a good place to look.
