Mirza H, I dont think you should always use Wikipedia because basically anyone can edit those anticles. I could if I wanted to, and I dont even have a Wikipedia account. On top of every page, there's an 'edit page' tab. I used it once to fix misinformation on a Corn Snake page.

The whale shark is the biggest shark, getting about 45-50 feet long. Just its mouth can open up to about 4 feet wide.

the biggest shark is the Great White Shark and is generally accepted as being from 4-5 metres average and in some cases up to 7 metres average...

The largest ever caught was about 11.3 metres... and females are generally larger than nale Great Whites

The largest shark is the Whale Shark. It grows up to 60 feet long. It is not the largest water animal, however, that is the Blue Whale which can grow up to 100 feet long.
