Great Days
Read a newspaper daily ( English broadsheet - not tabloids ). Search the dictionary for words that you do not know. Keep a thesaurus in your study table.

Watch TV news ( done in English )

Have a nice day !

Make friends who speak English or ask people to correct your grammar when you talk so that you can learn. Here's an example:

As you can see in my answers and questions, here in Y.A., my grammar is poor.
Usually my friends and I speak Tagalog.

How can I improve my grammar? (my family are not english speakers, I had a tutor before but you know *I don't understand this part*
Please help me!!

I've probably made small grammar mistakes myself but it should be passable English.

I used to be bad in speaking and writing in English as well. But because of too much watching American TV shows, I get to learn how they speak and use the right accent and tones in speech. Also, I review grammar lessons in my English book. I keep all my assignments and projects that were related to grammar and literature. I also have an MSA test book and get my exercises there. I also chat online with Americans and join an interactive site where I can practice my grammar. I met friends online and get to chat them thorugh YM. In this way it helped me a lot. Perhaps you might want to try this as well. :-)

a good practice would be to read publications in english, Reader's Digest is always a good one.

watch english movies and programs as a habit, not as as a pastime.

still
You need to start thinking in English, write everything in English. For example, your ID name is "Yuta", why don't you change it to "soil" or "land". That's only for starters, and as what others have already said here, read, read, read and read
No need to pay for English tutors.

mr.bombastic
There are numerous groups/companies offering English proficiency classes. Basically because of the boom in the call center industry and the influx of South Koreans. You might want to start contacting these companies (a number of them advertise in newspapers and even billboards here and there).

Do not lose hope! Good luck!

PREPARE YOURSELF:

first, be confident that you can do it.
second, make sure that you'll religiously apply what you'll be learning.
third, never stop learning.
fourth, believe that PERFECT practice makes perfect.
fifth, don't be afraid to learn the changes.
sixth, don't let anyone discourage you so don't lose heart easily.

EQUIP YOURSELF

Now, that you're mentally ready, lay down your priorities. 1 would be grammar. 2, pronunciation. 3. expanding your vocabulary. 4. practice!

Enroll in english classes. Buy grammar books. Speak in english when given an opportunity. read books. research online. record yourself when you're reading something. read aloud! watch american movies. imitate the way they sound (don't exaggerate, though). Ask someone who's authority in the english language is unquestionable. Practice when you can!

don't stop learning!

It will not be easy nor quick but you'd be able to conquer this.

it's not hard...it's challenging.

Immersion is the best way to learn a language. If you have a good grasp of it, but want to get the flow of it down and improve basic sentence construction, I would recommend you do the following. Get some books written in English (your favorite kind, be it non-fiction, sci-fi, western, romance, etc.) read these books out loud, not softly either, but at normal volume and try to match the tone of the speaker and situation. Read them correctly, though, and don't allow yourself to mispronounce what you are reading.

Well I cannot to speak English also cause if somebody wants to talk to me but I'll felt nervous and I'm really shy but there's a time one of a missing word if I can answered it of these questions and there's a time I can speak a carabao English. but I'll tried and tried to practice until to improved it on how to speaking English and on how to communicated with the other people.

mestiza.
i'm american teenager trying to learn tagalog, and trust me. it's just as hard the other way around, because I just started!

my advice is to just look around. read some modern books in english, read the daily american newspapers & magazines. watch plenty of movies, not with english subtitles, because those usually aren't all that correct. but watch the ones IN english.

OH! try to find a book called, "making out in english".
it's not really about making out, but I have the one in tagalog, and it's a big help for me. see if they make the book from tagalog to english.

umm, read writing written by people that have really good english grammar.

other than that, without having to pay for another tutor, i'm pretty sure that stuff will help you!

good luck! :]

Go to a library and read english books in your spare time. watch english shows and get some of your friends to converse with you in english. These days very good English is needed for all jobs so I would start to learn now if I were you.

Practice makes perfect. Read some books, news paper and magazines that are written in English. And read them out loud.
Watch English movies and t.v. programs to get/learn the expressions.

NEVER, EVER speak TAG-LISH. You won't learn proper English if you're going to speak rubbish.

Juan C
just keep on reading English articles... watch movies that are in English...
