I have a cellphone but I don't use it so they might as well take it away from me; it wouldn't bother me.
But the computer and the Internet has been a big part of my life since I joined Y!A. It's so addictive! And since I rarely watch the nightly news, it's my connection to the world. We also use it to connect to our relatives abroad so it would be impossible to get by without the Internet. The Internet is where I also do my research because I don't have access to the library and our school library doesn't have all the books I need. In short, life would be difficult.
The only upside of the life without the computer or Internet is that our electricity bill will lessen and I will be able to do the others things I can do in my spare time. The Internet is also a cause for me to procrastinate so I guess I would get that problem fixed if it was ever taken away from me. But I am hoping it won't be. It already had been taken away for almost a month from us because of some server problem and I wouldn't want that to happen ever again. |

It would be a peaceful year for me. I can use the library in lieu of the internet. I will communicate with faraway friends through the post office and they'd be mighty surprised to receive a message in a sealed stamped envelope. And I will make sure I eat my meals with family or friends. I think, interpersonal relationships will improve. And did I mention that it would be a peaceful year for me? Oh, yes, I did! |

Okay, you may take away my cell...even for 2 years, if you want to...but please, please, please don't take my access to a computer/internet...just give me at least 2 hours a night!!!! I won't last more than a day without it. It's gonna be a hellish nightmare --- I already know!!! |

I can still contact people using the landline telephone. Wasn't that the only phone we could rely on even before the cellular phone came out? It's still reliable now. I can also send mail using the traditional snail mail. There's nothing better than reading and writing handwritten letters! It's more personal. Sometimes, I feel lilke I'm running out of space for myself because the world is getting smaller and smaller due to technology. As for the computer and internet, I just use them when i'm bored. Just as long as I still have a TV and DVD player then it's all good. |

For a year, I don't know how much difficult. The most I've been away without a cellphone, computer and internet was a week. But that was way up in the mountains doing charity work. The week passed by without me noticing because I was busy doing something. When the day was through, I head to bed dead tired. Still we had TV, radio and magazines/books to entertain us. When I got back, I had 1000+ new emails. Hehehe! |

very difficult because that means I'm not going to have a work for 1 year....because at work, computer and internet connection are the primary/necessary things that our office must have....but if it's just the cellphone which would be taken away from me, I can still survive...besides there's a landline phone... |

i can't even last an hour without my phone. even in class i always check it. if i didnt have my phone- i would always worry where my loved ones and friends are at, and if they were ok. my mom is getting old- i dont think i could deal without my cell phone.
my computer and internet? i dont think i could go a day without it (it would be hard for school) |

Extremely difficult, since many of my loved ones are on different parts of the world, but I know I can survive. Contact family and friends old fashioned style - snail mail and land line. Ugh, researching for school reports is an altogether different story. |

Sure thing! If I will be traveling with my beau and family then I don't need those gadgets. Maybe I'll just use my mp3 player and digital camera.<*-*> |
