Ai

The verb form "to love" is "aisuru

"I love you" is "aishite imasu", "Aishiteru", "aishiteru yo" or "aishiteru wa".

In Japanese, you say 私は愛する
Quite simple! ;-)

Looking for the truth...
Well, there are two attitudes for love.
1. AI=Pronounced "Eye" would be the agape style of love. As in "I love you" translated "ai shite masu".

2. DAISUKI=The more social/friendly form of love, as in "I love chocolate" translated "choko daisuki". This form would be closer to the Philo type of love. The Japanese word "SUKI" means "like". So "DAISUKI'"s "DAI" means "very".

The Eros type can be filled in with any or either of these. Understood more by context.

LOVE:
Suku; to love
to like
to befond of.
Or how to say just love in japanese would be"Ai"
"A" sounds like ah
and "I" sounds like e.

cb450t
love= ai

i love you= ai shiteru ( meaning im loveing, sounds better huh!) or suki

i love you so much = dai suki ( direct translation= biglove)

ohioan_femme
I thought it was Ai.

royal_dutch_club
It's pronounced like the letter "I" and written "愛".

There are a bunch of ways to say it.
The most common is "ai" 愛
As mention, "to love" is "ai suru" 愛する
There's also
renai 恋愛 This is a much deeper and more serious form of "love" (although "ai" itself is pretty damn serious). You notice it shares kanji with the above "ai" and the below "koi"
koi 恋 Love, but in the sense of familiarity or deep connection, rather than romance. Japanese often say something is 恋しい (koishii) if they miss it or really like being around it. It's used even towards places or things.
daisuki 大好き This actually means to "really like" something, but in English we often express this as "love," as in "I love that movie!" This is the word Japanese would use.

Japanese rarely use any of these expression, except for "daisuki." Even couples, no matter how much they love each other, will usually only say "daisuki" or just "suki" (which means like). The other expressions are reserved for romance novels, songs and drama.

ai lol

Paru C
It's pronounced like the the letter 'I' and is spelled Ai. I love you is Ai shi te ru.

In Japanese, LOVE is "ai". There is another word to describe LOVE which is "koi". Both "ai" and "koi" can roughly be translated as "love" in English. However, they have a slightly different nuance. To find out about it, go to this address...you can also see the Japanese word character here.

tisya
love is ...ai
love as form of endearment....anata(spouses uses this)
love as being casual....daisuki though the translation is like u much.and this one is commonly used by couples in japan.why not "aishiteruyo"??just wondering...

zaku12992
Love: ai
Well, the pronouciation is quite straight foward. a as in "a"mubulance and i as in "i"nside.
Alot of Japanese girls are named Ai. I'm not sure if this will show up or not (if you have japanese font in your computer) but this is how it looks in japanese: 愛

=)

ai = love. you pronounce it like the English Alphabet "I".
or, you can say koi, which also means love.
