In Maryland - everyone is "Hon" lol ---
I call my hubby - honey, dear, sweetie, sweetheart, Jenks (part of his last name) - which turns into Jenkys - sorta scooby doo-ish.
why? because I love him.... and those are terms of endearment to me. He calls me Hon most of the time.....
and we call eachother Momma and Poppa - cause we have kids and you get used to calling eachother those names after years and years of it!!
Mostly - habit I guess.... I call my kids Hon, honey and sweetheart too --- and they are those things to me...
