How do you feel about having an ex-convict or murderer as a Prime Minister?

Effendi R
how should we feel indeed... what can we do, all the good and intelligent people stay far away from politics, so in the end we will have to do with scum...that's all over the world, not only here!

anderson
nelson mandala is a ex-convict but ppl still respect him

IzzieListening
oh, you mean like Bush? He used to be an alcoholic, once arrested for disorderly conduct in a football game, and for murder, well, he already killed thousands of Iraqi and the America still loves him!

PS The King without a throne (Raja Petra) makes every murder and crime that happened in Malaysia seemed to be the fault of the prime minister. Everything is somehow connected...lol! Get outta the blog and get a life.

Menachem Begin launched terror attack on a hotel in 1948, killing British officers as well as Arabs and Jewish civilians.

On 20 June 1977, he became the Prime Minister of Israel.

If Israel can, why not Malaysia? ;)

LiangMoi
Bear with it.... it's the Malaysian style..nothing new.

man
many prisoners later also come out as leader

In some way, we ALL are ex-convicts or murderers...some call it as origional sin...that is why some ministers or head of state or leaders of their countires are worst than murderers...

hushpuppy
murderer - no way

provided we understand the distinction between murder and manslaughter or any unintentional killing.

i have no problem of convicted traffic offender as PM. you get my idea

penang CM is ex-con.
everybody except the bn ppl like him so far...

Bendt
no way. no matter how much money he offers you now. watch out! he is putting a good frontage only.

Adi Keladi
Why should you bother about somebody that was convicted by a system that you never believe as just and fair?

emerald_mara85
As long as he doesn't do it again and regrets it, its fine by me.

As for smart and intelligent people staying away from politics...not exactly entirely true. Its a yes for some and a no for the rest. You can't exactly become a Prime Minister if you are a non Malay or a woman. Some smart politicans gets a kick or put in jail just because they are in the opposition...we just happened to be in the hands of the corrupted.

FoxHound
That guy is not yet a convict
