How do you like your banana split?

I like mine equally parted and put in a big, big ball..I mean, scoop of ube ice cream in the middle and hot, hot and sitcky chocolate syrup all over..

My choice will be a vertically split banana, placed upon a bed of custard and chopped nuts, served with at least three different flavours of ice cream, topped with a generous dash of chocolate sauce.

Yes, i like my banana (especially green saba) split when cooked together with a dippings like kalamansi (lemon) & bagoong (salted fish, preserved krills or small shrimps)

I am somewhat a fastidious eater and can't handle too many different foods being mixed so I would prefer banana split to be simple "A sprinkling of nuts one end and a dallop of cream the other end"
This answer raises me to the next level----this seemed to take forever.

My fav recipe is with pineapple topping :)

* A long ripe banana
* A scoop of strawberry ice-cream
* A scoop of chocolate ice-cream
* A scoop of vanilla ice-cream
* Pineapple topping
* Chocolate topping
* Strawberry topping
* Some Crushed Nuts
* Spray whipped cream
* A maraschino cherry

Cut the banana in half lengthwise and lay it on a long dish (which is usually called "boat"), with the inside of the banana facing up.
Put the 3 balls of ice-cream on the inside of the banana, then top the chocolate ice-cream with chocolate topping, the vanilla ice-cream with pineapple topping and the strawberry ice-cream with strawberry topping.
Spray the whipped cream on top, then sprinkle the crushed nuts, and finally add the maraschino cherry

I do not have a craving for ice cream, but maybe occasionally I would go for a banana split: vanilla ice cream and maybe strawberry ice cream and a lot of whipped cream on it.

as verb: i guess it would be in vertical manner...
