Either honestly and only after the person has read the entire explanation/details/
That or something really funny!
Most people will report you for doing that, but I don't, I like a little humor. |

in detail, unlike this one |

politely. There is nothing more annoying then someone being really rude. |

very detailed and with a good explanation
that makes sense and that is clear to the point. |

Straight to the point with as much details as possible. |

Straightforward as per my question. Sometimes it helps if there is an explanation.
I hate copy-paste LONG answers. An excerpt will be fine along with the weblink if there is.
EDIT:
hey wookie, watcha doing down under again???!! =D |

Straight to the point, with real example will be good.
I dislike people answering by first looking at others' answers and start saying this is wrong / right (Judge other answerer's' answers).
I also dislike people start to judge you personally by your question (instead of answering your question).
Being humorous is totally fine too. |

I prefer answers that are straight to the point and I'm not impressed with those people who cut and paste from other sources such as wikipedia. I like answerers to be serious and find it annoying to read expressions such as he he, ha ha, lol, etc. in the answers. |

Answer it with sense whether simple or detailed. If you can't, at least put humor and make my day. |

I like mine answered in any way the answerer see fit. I take exception though to rude and nasty remarks like one given me by Princess Kathy In YA Malaysia once. Her reply really got my goat.
How i wish she reads this. |

It could be a long one or a short one, it doesn't matter as long as it has substance...and a good one. |

Without complications, in simple language that's direct to the point and unambiguous, something that is easy to understand. |

appropriate and detailed...
and most importantly, it makes sense... |

I prefer answers to be accurate and on-topic. Don't just guess at the answers. If I wanted guesses I would make up my own answers. I want people with medical background to answer my health questions, people with legal background answering legal questions, and so forth.
Sometimes I see answers where people say, "Uhm, gee. I don't know." If you don't know then why did you bother to say anything at all? There's also those answers that have nothing to do with the question. Ask for the best potato pancake recipe and you end up with someone saying, "Oh, you know what I like? Belgian waffles with whipped cream!" On what planet does that qualify as a potato pancake recipe?
Okay, I'm done ranting, but I'm sure you all know what I mean. I want my answers to be accurate and on-topic or I don't want them at all. |

With juicy info and a lot of humor on it. I hat answers correcting other answers.

just as fun as the question. |

answers that are 'out of the box'..an answer thats from an entirely different (or even far-out) perspective. and if you don't actually know the answer, a witty remark is appreciated. |
