Here are some things that I do that helps!
*I listen to music
*I dance
*I lay in my room, watch movies with my pets (they calm me down)
*Yell into a pillow
*Punch my wall
*Say things that I'm thinking out loud, things to get off of my chest
*Exercise
*Go for a walk while listening to my iPhone
*Take a hot long bath

by reading or working out..that is how i cope with stress..when im super stressed i talk about it with someone close...just 15 minutes of talk lowers the stress levels. when im worried i go to the cat. |

I cope with stress in 2 ways.
1. Take 3 big deep breaths, clear all my thoughts and ask myself "What would Jesus do?"
2. I play my drums until the sweat runs off my head and drips on the sticks. |

I listen to music, sing along and dance sometimes to it, or anything else that might stimulate my senses or keep me physically active. There's nothing better for me.

I just take it like a man.. Stress is not necessarily a problem so I just try to workout my way into accomplishing or solving the a task or situation so that the stress level would go away or become lower.. |

I sketch.
No matter what your skill in drawing is.
Draw what comes to mind.
Try not to stress your self out on drawing perfectly. Keep the mistakes and imperfections.
You're just venting with lines. |

I write my troubles on pieces of paper and put them in a pile. Then I listen to music and rip one stress ( a piece of paper ) for every song and it calms me. |

I don't have stress.
I keep a conscious contact with my higher power. I pray every morning and evening and I try to do the next right thing. I try to be honest with everyone, and I try to reach out to those less fortunate than me on a daily basis.
I am at peace most of the time and when the stuff hits the fan, I ask God for help and I call one of my friends to help me through whatever crisis is happening. And I don't take a drink or a drug just for today.
I attend 9 A.A. meetings a week and I work with others.
I stay busy enough that I don't get isolated within my own head. That is where the stress comes from. when I cannot accept people, places, things, and situations as they are, I get stress.
Nothing happens in God's world by mistake and if I can accept that, I can know peace.
It does not matter if you are or are not an alcoholic, the above practices will bring you peace if you are willing to go to any lengths ot get it. You must do this on a daily basis. slack up and you will know stress and fear. |
