How does a full moon affect your mood?

It has no affect on me whatsoever except for thinking "Doesn't that look beautiful" "God is Great"

and, then
I go outside and sit on the fence and howl at the moon for an hour until my body is covered in hair. I then chase cars catch them and bury them in the backyard.

No, full moons don't have any effects on me and my mood. Full moon or not, I get irritated, happy, silent or moody depending on the situation or circumstance. But I do hear of stories that full moon sometimes have effects on humans, lunatic or not.

I find it weird and creepy when the moon is a bit yellowish, reminds me so much of those horror films. But if you want to get into the romantic mood with it I suggest play some nice jazz or bossa songs, grab some bear or wine on your veranda or terrace. Even by the beach with someone special.

everytime the night so bright, i feel wacko, romantic, nice, naughty and sometimes something else...
it's different cause i think that these things are not me and it's making me crazy... weird feeling.. something that i don't have everyday... unwell and insane...

if you can take these eyes in me... the moon and i are one you'll see...

why? cause i was born in a full moon...

People have tried to link the full moon to crime, suicide, mental illness, disasters, accidents, birthrates, fertility, and werewolves, among many other things. Numerous studies have tried to find lunar effects. So far, the studies have failed. Lunar effects that have been found have little or nothing to do with human behavior.

Ivan Kelly, James Rotton and Roger Culver (1996) examined over 100 studies on lunar effects and concluded that the studies failed to show a reliable correlation between the full moon, or any other phase of the moon, and each of the following:

-the homicide rate
-traffic accidents
-crisis calls to police or fire stations
-domestic violence
-births of babies
-suicide
-major disasters
-casino payout rates
-assassinations
-kidnappings
-aggression by professional hockey players
-violence in prisons
-psychiatric admissions [one study found admissions were lowest during a full moon]
-agitated behavior by nursing home residents
-assaults
-gunshot wounds
-stabbings
-emergency room admissions
-lycanthropy
-vampirism
-alcoholism
-sleep walking
-epilepsy

If so many studies have failed to prove a significant correlation between the full moon and anything, why do so many people believe in these lunar myths? Kelly, Rotton, and Culver suspect four factors: media effects, folklore and tradition, misconceptions, and cognitive biases. A fifth factor could be communal reinforcement.(everybody says so)

About the only thing most of us agree upon.....a full moon is beautiful.

Moon gives me a sense of serenity. It's reflection on the ocean and its light brigthening up the skies calm my spirit. Symbolizes inner peace and unending wisdom. (--,)
