How hard is it for you to choose "the best answer"?

Very hard at times, usually when all are averagely good or there are too amny good ones or no good ones. It depends on the sort of quesstion asked. Sometimes to the most accurate, at times to the most reasonable one and sometimes people with the same opinion. I try not to give it to my fave answerer all the time as tht would be unfair to others

I don't choose people who copy/paste from Wiki, as that is plain lame.

I enjoy a bit of humor, as long as you get the information you're looking for.

Though it can be difficult I think you judge by the person who gives the information that best satisfies either the reason you ask the question or the person whose answer is the most user friendly. If it isn't a serious question just choose the person who made you laugh or left you with something to think about or who made the most sense

If I ask a stupid/funny question (99%) I'd pick the most stupid/funny answer in my opinion..

If it's a serious/sensible question (1%) I'd pick the most serious/sensible answer in my opinion..

My assessment of selecting a best answer has not been easy :p But I have never chose the best answer in favour of the person whom I like... I have never done that before... coz frankly-speaking, I like everyone here... to me, it's not really fair to choose an answer based on favouritism :)

But I prefer to choose the best answer, based on fair merits... Of course, a little good ol' humour plays a part too :) hehee...

Depends on what my Q entails.
Sometimes, the most informative, or the wittiest, or the most argumentative, or the most profound....anything goes.
How does one judge what's best? Everyone has different standards and I just pick my favourite. If there's none, it goes to vote.

I have never asked any questions so I do not know how it is done. However my answers have been selected as best more than a few times. I am just as curios as you are after reading your question.

First I elemnate the jerks. Then look for most reasonable well worded answer. A web reference is a plus and who answered first if two are close to same.

It can be hard because sometimes I get pretty much the same answers over and over again, and they're all good. And other times they're just all too bad to reward any one of them. So, I would say I base it on the information I get.
