important enough but it's not a big factor in determining and person's success--there are a lot more into it. |

For me, yes.
I couldn't have my job without my degree.
For most people, a university degree means a better job. That means more money. |

It all depends what kind of an economy you live in. In the USA, it is hard to get a well paying job without a college degree. you can be a fast food cook, machine operator, a realtor, a CPA but the good jobs are reserved for college graduates. Needless to say, the good jobs also pay better, and are long term.
In Philippines you can be very successful as a Malacanang employee regardless of your degree. |

Somewhat.
70% of college graduates have a job outside of their degree.
As long as you do something you truly have passion for and want a career in that, that's what counts. Money doesn't always buy you happiness. |

I never finished college and I'm making more money than I know what to do with, more than an MBA, more than a physician makes. It all depends on what you choos and how determined you are. I work for myself. |

it's important if it molded your attitude towards a burning desire towards material life.If not,it's worthless.
Bill Gates and many others did not finish school but controlled those who have MBA's.
Allah changed not the condition of a people until they first change what is in their hearts. |

let say graduating college is reall a success, but I guess its not really a very big factor..but it really contributes since your success starts on it, but if your not going to work hard nothing will happen,,and then there are people who even didnt finish college but very successful in life. and success does not only depend on degrees...any person can be successful in any field or career he/she chooses... sometimes we dont need to have a degree at all.. you can be successful with our own family, with your business, as a minister, as a brgy captain...etc..etc |

it depends in the socio-cultural milieu. here in the states, a college degree doesn't seem important at all. people w/o college degree are reaping success...just a matter of good breaks, i guess. in the phils., however, it seems a college degree is a MUST if one has any chance for success! unfortunately, it's not a guarantee. unfortunately, it depends on the school where they earned their college degree.
just some observations. i'm not generalizing here. |

Depends on what you see as being success. Seems like everyone else is thinking money : ).
I see success as personal enlightenment, awareness. I wouldn't know quite yet - Fifteen. I would say, however, it would be what you did to get it. |

not much. i would still say guts and determination would prevail over education. but that is just my opinion. |

A degree is only important in finding a job to be short listed and get an interview at least. once a person is past that then it comes now to your abilities.
I am not a degree holder but, eversince I started working, I had always found myself ahead of most engineering grads of my age (in terms of compensation from our employer) including one who's a cumlaude of a reputable school. |

Nope! Not needed now a days. My step daughter just got her MBA in accounting and makes $11.00 an hour. I'm a public accountant for a research firm and make over $100k with no degree. Just a diploma. go figure. |

Yes but in some cases it does not determine one's success. Hardwork does. Sometimes connection to the right people also, like friends or relatives. |
