if you break up in the middle of the week then fri or sat. If you break up on the weekend see if you can get a lunch date maybe for wed and follow that up with a night out on fri.

Usually I wait until I'm sure that the relationship and feelings accompanying it are far behind me. There is no good reason for bringing baggage and unfinished business into a new relationship. There isn't any specific amount of time for me... Just until I'm over it and feel ready to start all over again.
