Mourning for 1 year.
It's true that "life must go on" but i'm not into "instant love".
I'll make sure these things happened before i date a guy:
>>..to make sure i'm moved on and won't hurt that guy with my "internal problems".............<<
1) I forgive my ex
2) I can talk about my ex without getting angry or upset
3) I can respond to love songs well...lol.....
4) I won't "menggelabah puyuh" if i saw my ex on my date.
If i passed all 4, so......happy to fall in love again! |

Based on experience- A year.
Actually it took me a year to find such a handsome and brilliant guy.
If i found him a week after i broke up (from 5-year relationship), then the answer would be "a week"...
So, how long do i take to start dating again after breaking up, i'll say it depends... |

if you break up in the middle of the week then fri or sat. If you break up on the weekend see if you can get a lunch date maybe for wed and follow that up with a night out on fri. |

wait until the right person comes by again. Don't jump right into a relationship though |

Usually I wait until I'm sure that the relationship and feelings accompanying it are far behind me. There is no good reason for bringing baggage and unfinished business into a new relationship. There isn't any specific amount of time for me... Just until I'm over it and feel ready to start all over again. |

I never really did have serious relationship (s)
Therefore, I’ll straight away date by the 3rd / 4th day after a break up |

anyway well... it took me slightly more than three years before i start opening up my brain again. casually dated people on and off but not really serious - well i could well be if they were keen. lol

Whenever YOU feel that you are ready. If the relationship is truly over and you have come to terms with it, then go out and have some fun. You might be surprised and end up with your soul mate! Good luck! |

less than a month = rebound relationship
more than 3 years = serious relationship |

Date again when someone worth dating comes along, and you feel ready.
Hopefully that's never.
Serious relationships will only keep you from your real life goals.
Unless those goals are getting married and compromising all of your other goals. |
