If it is about the sun in our Philippine Flag, it has 8 rays which represents the 8 provinces that fought against our conquerors.
Scientifically, Sun is classified as a yellow dwarf, which is a medium-size star and as far as i know doesn't have rays but it emits two kinds of rays. Ultraviolet rays and X-rays. |
