How much is the average salary of a housemaid in the Philippines?

Im doing a research on it right now as I have plans of temporarily residing in the metropolis part of the Philippines in the near future. I just want to have an idea on how much it is. Can somebody local of the country please give me a rough estimate? Thanks a lot!

the basic wage in metro manila right now is 300 pesos plus 50 cola(cost of living allowance) per day. a months salary with a day off (26 days a month) would come to around 9,100 pesos. but most people pay their household staff to around 3,000 to 4,000 pesos a month considering that everything from food, toiletries and other needs are taken cared by the employers.

it depends where in the philippines you are. most provinces average for P2000 ($40) a month. i guess in the cities that would be higher.

between Php 3500 - 5000 for an all-around help.

of course, lodging, food and medical care should be included, as well as the requisite day-off and bonuses (Christmas, mid-year)

The average person receives about 2.00 us dollars a day or about 120-200 Phil pesos. 100 dollars a month would be fare, yet id pay that person more because a Philippine is worth dying for, worth their weight in gold.

Minimum wage in

Manila I believe is between 350 - 500 piso's a day.
Cebu is aLittle less than that

that's about $7.00 - $10.00 a day (at P50 per $1)

fakebobjones
P3500 for live in. Like others have stated, you pay for their food, medical, vacation, bonus. Six days on, one day off.

My sister in law pays her housemaids around 2000-3000 pesos each. The sad part is that they could be very flaky and might run away after you pay them in advance. Some do steal a lot of belongings when they leave.

hanna
I pay my housemaid P3,500.00 a month with day-off during sundays and a mid-year bonus of P1,800.00 + annual bonus of P3,500.00.
