It's roughly around PHP 13,500 and it's really not much even if she's alone, specially to a family. But a help is a help and she should be thankful about that.

That's more than enough to be able to have a decent lifestyle, considering what you are giving is supposed to be over and above what she would earn while working.

I think your "friend" is spoiled and ungratefull. The average college graduate here earns BTN P9,000 to P12,000 a month with a "good job". That is, if they are lucky enough to have a job. That's working 6 days a week with 10-12 hour shifts. Your already sending more than that.

$300 a month can have a BIG impact on a family of 3.
BTW you can sponsor a poor child through and help her family for only $100 a month through various charity orginzations here.

The way your friend is acting I would not be surprised if this was a business to her and she was also "getting help" from other people. She sounds like a golddigger to me.

That should be alright for a family of 3. She should be thankful having a friend like you helping her out. She lives in an island that is pretty affordable. Well if this is a maintainable for monthly help/support well maybe she wants more, which is very typical but don"t let anyone take advantage of you. Try to escape some months and am sure she would be more grateful when you start helping her again. Just let her know she has to accept what you have to offer. Gezz some people just cant get enough. Unless her family is not doing anything and just basically waiting for the help oh well...

What kind of lifestyle they have? If you support them monthly, then they must be on lower class of lifestyle. And i asked my sister-in-law for she's from Camiguin island, how much the cost of living in there and she said everything is cheap. No malls are being installed there, just a small department store. What do you mean by family of 3? Is it only 3 persons in 1 family or 3 big families? Maybe your friend are not supporting just a family of 3 persons because $300 dollars is enough and they can even put up a small business there. Have you ever wondered about it?...

It would be really hard to find out why unless you ask her to show you and explain to you where all this money is going to. Also, you did not mention if she is working or not. Is there a medical issues or condition that requires her to make a monthly or weekly payments that you are not aware of for Doctor visits and such.
In any case she should be grateful for any help you are offering and just be sure she is not abusing this friendship.

also she is secretly putting money aside so when she goes back to the philippians she can build a "tin roof hut"

i feel bad all that responsibly is on this womens shoulders

oh and i think she is from a very rural area because one time i was in church with her and these other filipeno girls came up to her and started to talk to her and then they started to laugh and i guess mock her
then she was upset and when i asked what they said she said they called her monkey cave girl cause she is from a primitve area??!!

oh...u really have a good "friends"...don't u think that they r just using u??? i send my parents and sis 150$ and they r very thankful about it...i'm not responsible for anybody...since we r all adult,isn't it??

My family gives money to many VERY UNGRATEFUL FAMILY members, family even!
i believe that filipinos dont know what the hell to do with they're money.
The lady who owns the house that i live in (here in the Philippines) ALWAYS comes to the house for advance payments because she doesn't know how to make her cash last one month.

$300 isnt enough to live luxuriously, but its enough to survive. Especially if she has no other income?! I cant stand how UN-thankful some filipinos are..

he is not your friend. friend is a friend. sending money to him will affect you friendship at the time you can't give him. be careful.

my advise is to stop sending a money or stop supporting him. you may give him a time to relax than you.

BUT!!! if there's anything behind that matter, i think i'm out of it.

well, that honestly is not enough if they would have to depend on your help alone. can't they work for additional income? your friend is not so greatful at all. considering they live in camiguin,it's a province,and not an urban place. if they are really in need they could make use of that money you are giving them. i would be greatful if i was given $300 monthly, you want my account number? lol
