8 hours..and i see to it that it should be,even in partials, such as by 2 hour o 4 hour pattern or else, i easily get irritated by the slightest "troubles" and my brain works better with enough rest. Although I can stay awake for 48 hours without drugs, my brain is not that alert and I have to recover the lost hours needed for rest.
I am also trigger happy when I lack sleep, so, sleep is very important for me. |

I get to sleep 5 to 6 hours, not counting some nights when I wake up when my grandchild is having a bad dream or just want to play. Yes, in the middle of the night and sometimes would not fall back to sleep right away stretching into the wee hours of the morning. I don't usually take a nap in the afternoon having grown accustomed to not taking naps at all. Although there are times when my eyes just feel so heavy that a 30-minute lie-down is a must.
They say that at 50+, one needs to have that much needed rest to help in cell regeneration or tissue building. I don't know. But I get by with just 5 hours of sleep each day.

5 hours or less, cant do more than that, otherwise i'd get a headache
life is too precious to be spent on sleeping. If you'll be getting the recommended 8hour sleep each day and if you'll be living till 70 yrs old, then you'll be sleeping for more than 22 long years.
edit: if you feel ok during the day (not dizzy or drowsy or anything) then i'd say 3 hour-sleep is ok for you. The need for sleep/rest of different people varies din naman. |
