How often do you want to complain that the food you ordered looks different to the picture advertised?

chow king, jollibee, macdonalds,...

Last night on 'stumbleupon' there was a great page where they showed the advertised pics compared to what you actually got. Wish I had bookmarked it...it was a classic example of what you are saying!! You are SO RIGHT we should all complain !!

Big P
Allan I think you are very humerous.

Yes your right, the food does not look the same.
If you had a business, you would want to arouse the 5 physical senses of your potential customers.
Very good marketing skills.

I always want to complain, I mean gosh, why do they get us all the time with the stupid ads????

not really as long as the food taste good

All the time. Seems they have a policy of not serving the actual framed picture on their wall and serve you real food that looks like the picture instead : P

as long as the food tastes good, that's ok.

peanutz
None. You have to know that the food in the picture is "made up" to look colourful and glossy for the shot. If my food looks like in the picture, I will be wary. I will rather let my tasting decide if there is any complaint to be made.

dyelai
A lot of times. But on the other side, I'm forcing myself to understand them and their marketing strategies because I'm taking up a business course (where I learned how to advertise a thing perfectly). So, I just concentrate on the taste and the price. LOL

pie
very few.

Just yesterday, I had chicken at Max's at one of the malls in Cubao. It was P140, and I complained where is the "pansit" on the side, as is described on the menu picture. They showed me the menu again, and that one with the "pansit" was P180. I was enlightened accordingly. And accordingly ate my chicken without the "pansit". What I really wanted to taste was their chicken, anyway, and not the "pansit". Besides, my pointing finger at the menu page when the waiter came over was really pointed at the P140 basic meal, cuz it was more intelligent than me.

i only complain when the food is served with a foreign object like hair or veggie worms and if they serve the food late.

looking 4 a summer job
is'nt this universally true?

At least for us it is just the pictures, in Japan it is the plastic copy of the food and they look more scrumptious than the actual food. ;-)

you can always ask the manager why it is different from the picture.

chesney c
No, i have never complained. Taste is more important than looks. It is not necessary to be overly meticulous when eating outside

i WANT to complain all the time but i choose not to do that because i fear they might "sabotage" the food that i order if they feel that i'm a "troublesome" customer.

None I'll never to experience yet
