I have a 8 and 1/2 months old laptop, I like it, fast processing except for Windows Vista, there's a little bit problem. I still prefer the Windows XP.

My laptop is coming up for 2 years old soon, but thankfully I brought a top of the range one (More than $7,000) so it's still very powerful compared to what's on the market today.

my baby which i had to sold off three years ago was a bulky dell desktop. that i'd been using for 4 years and still healthy. sob sob

My house PC is at least 5 years old I think ... my laptop is in gestation cuz I cannot decide whether to buy it with Vista OS or stick to the proven XP but XP will expire in June 2008 !!!... I know Vista is compatible mostly with programs at least after end 2007 and that means my old digital camera programs, MS office 2003 etc .might have hiccups ....

Of cuz the salesman told me the latest Vista can do amazing speed with Core 2 processor but then you get the same result ... so no big deal actually in the hardware unless we are seious programmers, designers etc ...
