I'm 5 ft and my bro is 6 ft 2. I got cousins who are around the 6ft range and neither of us have the european genes. Most half and half i know are above 5 ft 8 in.

This is hard to answer for who can say who the average Filipino is nowadays. For there are so many mixed marriages among Filipinos & so many Global Pinoys all over the world, Filipinos are not easy to define anymore. And it depends on what age group we are talking about.

I know that before the 1970s, the average male Filipino is probably 5'3". In from the 80s upward it could be 5'5".

I am close to 5'10". and a lot of my friends are taller than me, 5'10" to 6'1". And it is not uncommon to find Filipinos with that height. Of course there are still alot of Filipinos 5'2"-5'8".

You should also consider the diet factor, before the 70s, there weren't any jollibees, mcdos, kfcs, steak houses. So that also contributed to the increase in height.

For fil men, i think the ave is 5' 4" . But generally, kids grow taller than their parents so i guess for new generation the average would be 5'6"

The average filipino is 5 foot nothin. And weighs a hundred 'n' nothin.

in this day and age, mixed genes results different outcome. your height is normal for that. but for a pure filipino father and a pure filipino mother, their child must be 5'2 with regards to girls and 5'5 for boys. if you see a filipino taller than the mentioned one, they have half 'something' (other race i mean).

hmmm? Filipino people are from mixed bloodlines, there were Malays , Americans, japanese, Chinese bloodlines etc...... some filipinos are tall and some aren't because of these...

so I guess your question is a bit hard, especially now... :)
