Well, give them a quota.... meaning if they reached the target percentage of sales for half year, or quarterly, they will have a trip to Boracay for 2 that is if you are from the Philippines. If for the other parts of the globe, just do the same. I am sure, that will make them happy and will be eager to reach their quota.

If I am your sales staff, I would be motivated by honest and sincere appreciation of my efforts as part of your team. Contrary to what most managers perceive, employees are not solely motivated by money- this is only secondary. Your sales staff will be more motivated if they sense that you believe in them. Let them hear your verbal appreciation on top of any reward/bonuses that you will give. Be generous in your praise, and make them feel that they are as important as the product they sell.

They say that money is not a motivator. An odd thing because you would expect it to be. But food rewards, and little gifts of appriciation seem to help according to a managing magazine I read.
If you choose a monitary type of reward I would recommend it come in the form of a bonus at the end of a sale where they reached a certain goal.

take a management course- it will help. In the mean time, you have to show them appreciation for their work. This may sound a little juvenile, but everyone likes to be recognized for their work once in a while, it motivates them to work harder.

Give your staff some motivational CD's to listen too..They help me everyday. I work in Sales. I'm a Certified Travel Agent, and I do pretty good and I'm happy with myself and believe in myself. So I truly believe motivational CD's helps, alot of encouragement as well helps too..

Give incentives - in any form. Praise their work or achievement and recognize their ability or skill and input. It really heightens their feeling of being appreciated.

Pay them more money..not the $200 pesos a day their getting now.. Don't be a cheap company and take care of your employees.
