she is just doing her right as a human being. so it is best for people to leave her alone because we are not her concience.

Cory A. is a woman fraught with guilt from her and her family's many sins against the Filipino people ever since she conspired to take office as "president" of the Philippines. Her actions have cost the livelihoods and lives of countless pinoys over the years since. As she lays slowly dying from her illness, I'm sure she's begun to realize the fate she awaits in the judging hand of God, a fate which is eternal.
Is she beginning her atonement? Perhaps, but I'm near certain she does it believing that she may be spared God's wrath, than of a genuine empathy and remorse for those she's harmed in the name of power, greed and ego. |

I think it was done in the spirit of the season. Cory is a deeply religious person and she probably wants to make peace with everyone, even to those who did not sit well with her stand and affiliation in politics. In the midst of her much publicized fragile health, her focus now is to strengthen her emotional and spiritual well being and an apology to Erap possibly would help her much more. |

In the spirit of the season, everyone is entitled to their own interpretation of events. What is wrong in saying sorry? Has anyone heard of any other politician saying they are sorry for the pitiful state of the country? Have they said sorry to all the OFW's who have to work abroad, away from their families because there is no work available at home? Have these politicians, whose children now abound in government, said sorry that up to now they have not made a better future for the Filipino people? Maybe sorry has to start somewhere. Maybe that is the first step. Maybe we will have a better 2009.

Even now, her own camp is beginning to say "We're sorry that we said we're sorry." So, we should expect perhaps Erap to say "I'm sorry I appeared very glad when I first head her say in public she's sorry towards me." And then, at the end of the day, we might hear Madame Arroyo issue a statement saying "I'm sorry everyone is saying sorry these days, including me."
And I, myself, have to say "I'm so very, very sorry I could not greet you back earlier for your best wishes for Christmas. I have no excuse. But this feeling very, very sorry is getting to me....
