Most people here would pronounce it "セリーナ" sey-reee-na.
As you probably know, L's and R's get used interchangeably.
Foreign names are written in Hiragana, so yours would be:
セ - se, pronounced "sey"
リ ri or li, pronounced like Lee, with a tiny bit of a rolled R sound
ー this character is to extend the sound of the character before it into a longer sound
ナ na.
If they were speaking to you, they'd add "-san" to your name, or "-chan" if you are a close friend or a school-age girl. You never add these if you are saying your own name though, only when you are talking about another person. |
