sorry if I'm late, but your problem can be corrected by filing a Petition in court for a Correction of Entry in Birth Certificate. The local civil registrars don't do it on their own until there is a Court Order to make the necessary correction or corrections.
The NSO cannot even change what the original document states. |

You go to the Municipal Civil Registrar where you were registered. You can ask them if you were entered as male in their records. If you are, you will file for correction of entry.
The Municipal Civil Registrar can do it and it usually takes about a month. But if the Registrar can't do it, you have to file a case to the court for correction of entry but in your case, I think the Registrar can change it. Hope this help. |

I dont' have a lot of Info on this, but I do know that it costs $ to change any info on your birth certificate....good luck... |

same as my sister's problem..
when shes applying for passport that was the only time we notice that her birth certificate gender is male instead of female...
The front desk request us a affidavit that authenticated by attorney or judge..i think it cost 100 or more...
I don't think the nso can change it anymore because they have a lot of records for this past 30 years that is also missing and wrong info..
Thats why i think the DFA just request for a affidavit proving that you are really the one in birth certificate... |

It's easier just to change your name to Alex and go with it. |

Are you sure it's wrong? |

You're situation is so messed up that I can't think of any answer.
If I were you, the first thing I'd do is kill the nurse / doctor who checked your gender at birth.
I'm sorry but you have to admit that if that was somebody else, you'd laugh your butt off too. |

If you were born a male and had a sex change, you are still by all records a male.
If its just a mistake, see the registrar. |

Its very difficult to getthe change , in fact it would be easier if you went to doctor 90210 and got a sex change operation. |

let it go
life will be easier if you accept you can be the sex you want to be |

Sorry, there's nothing you can do about that. You'll have to start living as a male and eventually undergo "corrective" surgery. |

get a typewriter and put there 2 letters infront of the word
male
FE!!!!
that will fix the problem. |

Follow ia advice and do it fast, the longer you delay it the more you lose your credibility i dont know how your parents over looked such an important data in the document. but anyway blaming somebody for the mistake wont change anything the best way to do is for you to correct it and do it past. |

Easy..... just have the docs add on what's missing between your legs. |

File a petition for Correction of Entry with your local Civil Registrar. This will take time because of the requirements for publication, verification and some affidavits of disinterested persons. You might need some money for this but it is affordable. |

Ok are you sure you are a female? If you are then how did you just become one after your born because they are extreamly careful of what they put on the birth certifercate. I would go to the doctor and be sure what sex you really are |

before I used to have a prob with my birthcert too, I had a different surname, so later my mom had to fix it, she went to NSO(National Statistics Office) that´s somewhere in East Avenue (kahilera nya yung sss, lto etc.. and halos katapatan lang ng east avenue medical hospital), she had a late registration for my name. Maybe u could do the same thing to, all u have to do is to get a form at the NSO then fill ´em up and then u have to have the signature of the doctor (or kumadrona) and then NSO will be processing it, but u do need money, well not really big money!
or go to this site if u wanna know more www.nso.gov.ph |
