I am a Black man in the U.S. navy who will go to Phillipines for a while. Do the women crave Black men?

The truth is, Filipinos are mostly dark themsekves and use a lot of skin whiteners because they really prefer a fairer complexion. So they never crave for black folks. However, discrimination is the last thing you will ever encounter in our country, people here are always excited to see visitors and we are just born curious about other kinds of people, even aliens if given the chance :p We are the most hospitable country in Asia and I don't know why we are that way but we LIKE having visitors even among ourselves. I just hope those "other people" will reciprocate our kindness as a host when it's our turn to visit them because I hear a lot of horrifying stories about racial discrimination from those who have been abroad, so sad.

Oh please God do not send this jerk to the Philippines. We do not need another U.S. Serviceman to rape someone in the Philippines. Your Marine buddy caused enough problems for us Americans living and working in the Philippines we do not need anymore. I have never witnessed discrimination in the Philippines of any kind, but I have never known any woman in the Philippines craving a Black man either. Are you under the impression the women in the Philippines believe the myth all Black men are well endowed. I think they know better.

Hey what up cuz? I won't say that they crave black men but don't go there acting like you all that and disrespecting folks. (I only say that because I don't know you.)
I am a black man and I go there frequently. Back in the day when I was in the Navy, (1988-1991) my spot was Olongapo City.
Basically, if the people can feel that you are good people, then the women want to feel you out also.
Just use your street smarts and be cool and you should be alright.
I don't know what part of the Philippines that you are going to but the Philippines is not the same as it were when the Military bases were here with the exception of Angeles City.
Still, watch out for yourself cuz.

you'll get stares from people, but that's out of curiosity and discrimination exists everywhere even in the US right? but we're a good race, we know how to treat people well and give them due respect. unlike the americans or other nationalities.

There you will find many half black half Pinay girls, the result of US black servicemen who got Philippino girls pregnant and never to return. GOD HOW TRAGIC. there's no discrimination in the Philippines about race and they treated foreigners nicely..but except for kids because filipino kids of course they're kids and they are not used to seeing dark skin people..but its ok

Sometimes. But if you're respectful of the culture and learn a few phrases (and show the dough), then it'll be cool.

Interesting Historical fact: After the Civil War, America sent black troops to fight in the American-Philippine war. Some of the black troops went AWOL because their commanders were telling them to "kill those n*****s" and they didn't appreciate that. They fought alongside the Filipinos and were accepted.

All I know and this comes from firm evidence is that the money makes them girls "crave" anyone. Just convert a ten dollar bill into pesos and that will make them all think your rich.
