backwards. just to rethink what circumstances were there when I made a major decision in my career and life. i think i could have done better... i'll stay noldzki so you have to build a new one right now

Forwards, of course : Who wouldn't want to know all about the shapes of things to come ?!
But, after a while, I would want to return to the present - for any 'future' without my loved ones would be unimaginable and intolerable to me !

I would go forward. Whats done is done and changing that will not help. By going forward, I could understand what I should do now to prevent what may happen later.

It would be VERY tempting to go back to when I was in highschool and kick one kid's butt who gave me some grief. He was a year older and bigger then I was, but if I could go back...

I guess that says a little bit about me and holding grudges doesn't it?

I would choose to go back. Not so that I could change anything in my life but to experience life in a more simple time. I would enjoy the beauty of our Earth before all the destruction we've caused. I would hope to see animals that are now extinct.........not dinosaurs though......that's too far back :)

As to whether or not I'd stay.......I'd have to wait & see.

I don't want to go backwards because I'm happy for what I am now, for what I have, and for what I have done...

I don't want to go to the future, because I know that only God knows my future and, and my future is in His mighty hands, so even if I go for a short visit, I won't still be sure if that's going to happen...

so, don't bother yourself lending me your time machine,,, thanks though...

To answer your question, I don't believe there is much fun traveling to the future. You don't have the advantage of knowing what's gonna happen. And, also, the chances of creating a Paradox that might upset the Universe, that is, meeting with yourself, is rather high.

That is why I would travel only to the past. There, I know how not to create this Paradox, since I know where I wont be, so that the two of us wont be at the same time in the same place.

I will go for very short stays, just enough time to do what I came for. If I stay too long, I might not be able to make it back, thus creating a third, independent branch of the Natural Timeline, where all bets are off.

would go back and stop me from getting married the 1st time through. then seeing how i don't have to return the machine, would visit with myself from time to time with advice. that, plus i'd gamble on sports, make a killing, and retire early.
