Depends on the situation:

e.g. interview for work, tell truth.
ask by bf or gf, can ask to guess, be playful...
Females usually want to hide their age, very uncomfortable when asked. Males usually do not mind. Can also answer about your age, older than you, younger than you....sometimes, have to be tough: answer by saying "It is impolite to ask".....

I don't see the reason why I should lie about my age. You can get away with a lot of things when you are in the mature age.

1) I wouldn't mind..and it's not sensitive at all.

2) I will never lie. I just hate the coming number 3! Urghh...it's next year.!

3) If I let people guess...the will guessed it wrongly. (oh..depends on what I'm wearing. If it's funky...they will guess I'm still young. If I dressed like muslimah..I'm a mommy)

4) I don't smile because I hear it most of the time.
If they correctly guess my age..I would be more thankful.
At least people treat me like an adult, not teenager.

Colleague might have this perception of I'm too young to make an important decision.
