It is never right to throw stones at other people's homes, more so for someone who lives in a glass house. In the event of retaliation, the latter has more to lose coz he has to replace all those broken glasses.
What this means really is we should never bear false witness against our neighbors. Our "private" lives are subject to scrutiny (hence the reference to glass homes) so let's not be too critical of others lest we get the brunt of it. |

Obviously, he or she should not - because throwing stones at houses built of brick or mortar would hardly damage them !
But, if those others retaliate in the same way, the glass house would get smashed up !
Reminds me of an old tale, concerning the ancient Mayan civilisation, that might interest you :
...The early Mayan folk were a simple lot, and though they had abundant stocks of gold, they all lived in houses built of grass.
The rich ones would add more storeys to their homes, and the village chieftain's house would have the most - but these too used only grass !
One such aging chief owned a golden throne - which was the envy of several neighbouring chieftains. When they heard that he had fallen ill, they joined forces and laid siege on the village.
The chief realised that his men were outnumbered, and that the invaders would soon defeat him. But he swore that they would never get his golden throne - and decided to stow it in the uppermost storey of his home, where no one would ever dream of looking for it !
...When their food and supplies ran low, the desparate villagers had surrendered without any resistence - and the victorious invaders had moved in, and marched straight to the chief's multi-storeyed home.
A horrible sight awaited them : the chief's bleeding corpse was lying on the ground floor - crushed by the heavy weight of his own golden throne, which had torn its way down through several grass-floors, and killed him.
:-(
The 'moral' of this morbid tale ?
'Those who live in grass houses should not stow thrones' !

This is an extremely random answer... why would someone even throw rocks at a house? |
|

Bitter Guy
 |
Yes if he really has reason to. |

All depends on whether his house is built from bulletproof glass ☺. But throwing stones at someone's property is not nice. |

"Charity begins at home."
"Before you point out the dirt in someone else's face, first look at your own face in the mirror."
'Let him that is without sin throw the first stone"
and
"People who live in glass houses should not throw stones."
all have something in common. But either I am too drunk to relate them to each other, or I am too busy preaching against drinking alcoholic beverages. |

Absolutely. One doesn't throw rocks when he lives in a glass house, so if he is prone to throwing rocks at houses, he has no other choice but to throw them at his neighbor. |
