suman --- rice cooked with sugar and coconut milk, you can easily match it with virtually anything (sugar, caramel, chocolate, fruit jam, etc) yet still taste REALLY GOOD! oh by the way, you can eat it by itself |

"matamis na bao" --- sorry don't know the English term...it's that brown sticky spread for sandwiches or crackers...very, very sweet!!!!!!!!! I'm not even sure if it's classified as delicacy...all I know is I haven't seen it anywhere else except in the Philippines. |

a balut. many are apprehensive to try me the first time, but once you have learned to eat me and appreciate my unique taste and form, you can't get enough of me. People usually eat me at night with beer to boot to get in the mood, if u know what i mean. I pretty much would like that to happen to me also. |

I would either be a pancit sa puso(ng saging) or a lumpiang ubod. I am simple, tasty and healthy and you won't get tired of eating me. And because i'm healthy, you can eat as much as you can and you won't feel guilty. |

I'd like to be lechon , you know ,.... always there when there are parties and celebrations .... oh , it's only common in the philippines ....... but they consider it as one of their own . They even have their own style of preparing it . P.S. Lechon originated from China when a barn with pigs caught fire and when the pigs were burnt , and the people tasted it , they instantly knew it was tasty , so they burnt more pig barns just to eat lechon .... okay , they didn't really burn the farms .... just a joke that was told to me by one Filipno ..... those people are really hospitable and friendly. |

Binagol and moron, these are exclusively made in Leyte particularly Abuyog, Leyte. The container of Binagol is coconut shell and covered by banana leaves and tied up. The content is made from a mixture of "gabi" and a sweet jam in the middle while moron is made of malagkit with coconut milk sugar and chocolate. Both delicacies are really delicious. |
