I would more than likely give up the career. My family means a lot to me and I don't believe that any job should have that much control over you to put your marriage at stake. Most jobs will look at both factors if you are a true asset to their organization. |

As a Catholic, what God bind together as one body, can't no longer be separated, the sanctity of marriage. |

Well first since you asked under your question--Bianca Gonzalez asked a question about Philippine Beauty and placed it under the topic of culture or something like that and got over 700 hits mostly from Filipino's.
But you're right this is the Philippines message board, and if you want to ask around this context, then the question is ok.
If I'm forced to make an ultimate sacrifice I would have to consider giving up my career. But, I would think about how giving up my career would affect my relationship. Sometimes if you give up your career the spouse ends up going too. A lot of people give up their career for marriage, especially if the spouse lives outside the country. Or if the spouse wants you to raise the children. But this is more of a temporary thing usually.
Being a spouse is hard work, if you do it right you'll both think yourself is giving 90% to the relationship. |

Assuming that my future marriage is good I would give up my career. Commiting to someone you're in love with is far more important. |

Did you ever pledge to stay with your career in sickness and in health, for better or for worse? |

I have neither. Just take my heart, as ancient sacrifice. Didn't the Pirates of the Caribbean (World's End) also use this romantic theme? |
