If only we could do something to replace all those useless good for nothing government officials.

If I would be granted the power to rule, here is what I thought I would do.

1. Require all government officials to wear an honesty bracelet (like a chip) on their wrist so that every time they attempt to steal, cheat, mismanaged funds from the government it would make a lot of noise (like a siren).
2. Enforce "one child policy" for every Filipino family. After one child, the parents would be penalized every time they produced another baby. They would perform public service by cleaning all the dirty streets of Philippines. They have to do this everyday in a year. In order to keep them alive, they would be paid with rice mixed with sterility pills so they wont be able add another poor Filipinos in the world.
3. Let's see if # 1 and 2 would succeed, then Ill add some more.

1. Raise teacher's salaries to a living wage (as well as police officers)

2. Subsidize birth control (in addition, teach people about family planning as well as sex education in school).

3. End contract work--employees can have the standard 90 day probation, but no more six months and renewing. Companies that are caught doing this would be heavily fined

4. Require companies to be EOE--no hiring based on age, religion, civil status, etc

5. Start a community (or junior college) system that is affordable to all

6. Revamp public transportation--ALL of it

7. Remove all U-turn slots and hire the best traffic engineers in the world to revamp the roads

8.Start a massive recycling plant

9. Create a sewage system and connect all homes in Metro Manila to it.

10. Raise the minimum wage. With it fares for jeepney's would be increased as well.

11. Create a park ranger system for all natural areas

12. Create parks in Manila--playgrounds

13. Create a widespread library system

14. Offer free neutering/spaying for pets

15. Create more free programs for youth interested in the arts

16. Make clean drinking water available to all people

17. End the contract where we have agreed to take any country's hazardous waste (i.e., Japan)

18. Create jobs & wages that will end the need to break up families and work overseas

19. Make sidewalks in all neighborhoods

20. Make a jail system that is HUMANE!!!

21. Clean Manila Bay & Pasig river.

22. Create property developments, parks, and hotels along Pasig river. Create a user-friendly ferry system.

23. Plant more trees in Urban areas

24. Repave all roads

25. Put garbage cans on busy corners

26. Create governement websites that are: updated, have working links, and do not require advertising to subsidize the cost.

27. Legalize divorce (I know most people do not want this, however with the current annulment system, it amounts to: rich people can divorce, poor cannot)

28. Heavily investigate judicial killings. Jail all people involved.

Il pour all my money in developing our education system... All falls into place if you invest in a good education for the youth of the nation...It will take time to see results but better to start now than to wish and hope that a miracle would happen...

It will be a new generation of Filipino people, a total rehabilitation of the country...

if presidency is what you mean by power, i would run the country by myself, no cabinet members, congressmen, senators, or whatsoever! il clean it up one region at a time. the environment would be on my top list and birth-control/over population....IL start with that

i dont mind being a "marcos" type of leader, i know i have good intensions and the one who argue are pissed caused they cant currupt anymore.

Send each and every Filipino to the country of their choice with one way ticket only. Annihilate all those who refuse, so nobody will be left behind.

The Government used to have two HUGH bases there that poured millions of dollars into their economy. They terminated the leases and three years after we had moved out they asked us to come back. DUH!!

Create industries that will give every single Filipino a job. A job that will just give 4 hours a day work but still pay good. Sometimes Filipinos are lazy to get a job because usually job offers are underpay and not worth their hardwork and so they just go abroad.

1) Create a competitive export oriented economy like Korea or Thailand. Encourage inventiveness and technology development. Look at Ireland- it went from one of the poorest European countries to being one of the richest through IT development.
2) Promote tourism on a huge scale all over the CNN, Star TV and other international channels. Bring in millions of tourists the way even less attractive countries do by simply describing their country in the media and advertising it in the more positive light. Institute a 3 month tourist visa as in Malaysia or Singapore. The present 21 day one is not enough for tourists- they need to have more time to spend more money in the country. Have more competitive packages for tourists. Present fares are too expensive and hotels are also way too expensive. That is why Thailand gets more tourists than you.
3) Promote the country to international investors on a huge scale ( Thailand has already done it and they are booming- and in my opinion, they are not more attractive than you- they can just "sell" the country better) and cut all the red tape associated with starting a company there. Stop talking s--t about you country to foreigners when you are abroad.
4) Foster the spirit of self reliance and enterpreneurship. Teach young people to depend on themselves and not the government. The Chinese have that spirit, for one.
5) In schools teach thrift and good savings habits and how to invest and start own businesses. How to better plan for the future. How not to waste money on trivial things. How to become independnt personally instead of always looking to family of friends or foreign countries as a hope.
6) Teach economic and business patriotism. No matter what, one should stop dreaming of emigrating, and, instead, fight where one is at. You have a beautiful country with a great culture and should be proud of it and strive to make it work.
7) Have a student loan program and a strict enforcement for non payment of student loans.
8) Better customer service and more attention to customers' complaints. Improve the level of honesty in day to day business dealings through education and campaigns.
9) Make the Philippines a tax free banking center for people all around the world. Create a world class international banking system so that people would want to park their money in the Philippines.
10) Look at other successful countries around Asia and see what they do and adopt what you can for your country.
