.Went there at the end of March. Really enjoyed it.

Beaches were great, although constantly interrupted by people trying to sell things. Food was cheap and varied. Scenery was wonderful. Hotel was good - all rooms have access to the pool from their back door. Everyone was friendly. Recommend going on some of the tours (we went on two on speedboats one to Phi Phi Islands snorkelling, swimming, sightseeing, etc. and the other tour to James Bond Island which included elephant ride, sea canoeing and oxcart ride). Shopping - be prepared to barter up to 35% below their asking price, although some shops do not allow this and stick to their shown prices).

I would love to join you guys.... just came back from Phuket and fell deeply in love with the place. Go to Pee Pee Island, and do the cannoon tour, it's the most beautiful places I've been to. Phatong is the right place for parties and if you want o meet some lady-boys, hahaha. Have fun!

Enjoy yourselfs as it seems to me that its a place for couples
than a group of Lads - I went in March and they are bringing in new law where everything is going to shut down at 2am.
I dont want to Diss Phuket but after 3 days I was bored and then for next 4 days I was there I went on trips to all the Islands ( Must Do ) then we decided to go to Pattaya where there is much more to do and a hell of a lot cheaper.

Not recently. Anyway, I think you can enjoy by yourself in Phuket sure as there are so many things interesting. Also Phuket is absolutely toursit place, so it is quite safe to travel alone. Try this website for more information before you go Phuket. Have a nice time.
