who says you can't? you definitely can!
if your mom/dad says you can't that's probably because
1. we have road users that dont always follow road rules - dangerous nature of malaysian roads. plus we dont have stringent law to make sure riders wear protection gears eg helmet
2. nowadays it's considered not-so safe to be on the road with crimes making the headlines everyday
3. weather - sun or rain - you will be wet and stinky either way |

Do you mean re-cycle at school?
Surely there cant be a law against using a bicycle to school? |

You are not from Malaysia, aren't you?
or
Were you born just yesterday?
or
Since when did JPJ (RTD) drew up a new law on forbidding the use of bicycle on the road? |

Who the hell told you that. There are many poor kampong boys and girls living far away from schools who simply cannot afford to pay for the school bus transportation. So most of them either walk or cycle to school. A common sight in rural Malaysia you have not seen. My nephews and nieces living in Malacca cycle to their respectively schools daily. |

You are allowed to cycle.
There was never a rule against cycling to school.
Since whn. did it contribute global warming, esp. if there there's no fuel consumed.
The ONLY rule & regulations set were for bikers to practise the below:-
1) No more than 1 or 2 person on the same bike. (Depending on the size of the bike).
2) Advise to wear safety gears e.g. helmets & etc.
3) Cannot zip zap along the road. Simply cut the lanes. Stick towards the corner side of the road.
4) During rainy/monsoon seasons, students are advise not to cycle as the roads are too wet & hard for other road users to notice the cyclist esp. if they don't use any switch lights. |

Who says we can't? Unless your parents won't let you to, there's no law stating we can't cycle to school.
I did, just once, but that was with my father tailing with his car from behind. Hate it when parents do that. I know they love me but still...
Well, what are you doing to help with our global warming prob? I'm still working on having my *stupid* college to put recycle bins on the college grounds and encourage *ignorant* students to use them.
Seriously, gov should do more things to educate students about aprreciating and saving our environment. Start it early, at primary & secondary level. Teach 'Environment Education', just like what Australia is doing.
p/s: I'm not sure what's wrong with SOME Malaysians who can't even switch off the lights even when they're passing by the switch! They'd rather burn their old newspapers them send them to recycle center. (my friend's father does that!)
edit: Hey I got a thumb-down (and sure there'll be more!) for telling the truth. Wow! |

Absolutely! Who told you otherwise?!
However, it's not practical IMO. I mean have you noticed the state of our local drivers on the road.
It's not exactly advisable I mean it could be dangerous.
If all else fail, they could always walk but depends on distance of course=P |
