Even for the simplest lifestyle, P36 is not enough.
Unless you're a gold fish ;-p |

I wish its enough,if that would be, then massive starvation in our country will lessen.
sad to say,but NO. |

The computation done by government to arrive at that was for a family of 5, resulting in an effective cost of P36 per head per day. That assumes food that marginally provides nutrition required. Like fish and vegetables, rice.
I can't even begin to compute for the cost of fuel, the cooking utensils, water to wah the raw fish and vegetables, etc. Not to mention the cost to maintain the household.
I guess some families live on that amount on a per capita basis.
But the entire Yahoo community will be unanimous in saying NO. |

Of course not! You can only buy Coke Litro with that amount. And if you will buy food, you have to buy 2 pcs of eggs and newly cooked cup of rice so as to mix the eggs and pretend that the eggs are cooked already.
One needs, at least 150pesos to have 3 square meals!
GOD SAVE YOUR STARVING PEOPLE!!!!!! |

36 pesos is not enough for a can of whiskas for a cat to survive, how much more for human, i think that's not enough even for one meal |
|

duh_bluegirl
 |
no! that's not even enough for a meal. |

I don't think so!
36 philippine pesos is less than 1 US dollar. :( That's like spending about 80-US-cents on food, shelter, maintenance, recreation and other necessities a day.
If anyone is in such an unfortunate financial situation as this, do ask for assistance from your relatives, govn, or community. |

To live a decent life for every Filipino people each day.I don't think so.
can you tell me how? |

It's not even enough for fare one way. What can 36 pesos buy you these days? 1 liter softdrinks and 8 pesos worth of bread. Or, 1 pc. siopao, no softdrinks. Then again maybe 1 plate of rice that sells at 8 pesos and a plate of "pansit" and some veggies...nothing more. Just ask your "suki" for free soup. Some carenderias give free "sabaw" (soup). Gee, I can't imagine how one can make do with 36 pesos to get by for a day. |

Food wise, probably yes,but its an extreme endeavor. It can be done but everyday would be harder. Extreme planning and detailed knowledge and discipline is needed. Also, you have to cut your meals to once or twice a day |

In reality most Filipinos live for 36 pesos a day... |

even if its just for food alone. that is not enough. |

If I live alone and I'm at home sure that'll be enough. I'd be satisfied with pancit canton on rice and Coke sakto. |

it depends upon the situation....
if you have your own home and your not paying taxes, bills and etc. bcoz ur parents are the ones paying it and you have a fridge full of food no need to sweat.. just stay at home and relax that way you won't spend anything...
but....
if the situation is that you arer living alone you need to go somewhere eat food somewhere well absolutely 36 pesos is not enough... how much is transportion? around 8 pesos plus us meals which the lowest POSSIBLE price is 20 pesos times how many times you eat a day... plus clean water.. which is around 10-15 pesos...
well of course 36 pesos is enough if you only eat one candy each meal and do not move from one spot you are standing... and i know that is impossible |

No I wouldn't say so. Couldn't even really afford a meal at Chowking with that. Boneless Bangus mmmmm. Miss the Pines already. Interesting question though I wonder if anyone really could buy enough food for the day with that much. |

You can still go on living, even if you dont eat for a day. But if you mean in general (with living expenses and etc... then defffinetely no. If you just mean buy buying food....... ughhh probably those people who sell food on the street ( i think) or a candy maybe >.< or some other places that are cheap... but i highly doubt u can get more than that. |

more than enough if the government cut the cost of housing, real estate taxes and the one who computed that prove it himself for even a week. |
|

no, you need 500 if you cook your own food, 150 if you buy your food |
