fengshui is not a religion.
it is not a belief, you do not need to believe it for it to work. it is happening right now, without us constantly being aware of it. actually, it is better to do an application and forget about it.
it is not a philosophy, though taoists have adopted fengshui as part of taoism. but fengshui is not a part of taosim.
fengshui is a chinese divination. it is like a religion because of some terms like tai sui, who is believed to be a god. but i believe that it is just to represent a phenomenon that has something to do with fengshui - just as ancient people believed that the sun and moon were gods.
it is a compilation of concepts, which are derived from the concept of yin and yang. then from there, it evolves into many concepts. each concept has its own system/ configurations, calculations and applications.
fengshui is not intuition. you do not feel/ sense for anything. yes, chi is involved in fengshui, but you do not and cannot feel chi. you can only do the calculations, live life and see what happens next.
fengshui is learned. because fengshui is about measurements, calculations and proper applications of the said concepts.
i had studied fengshui from seminars, i don't totally believe in it. though i do practice it in my life from time to time, just to make it more convenient for me. i tend to test the concepts out and see whether they work or not. so far, life has been good and easy. |

Feng Shui is not a religion, but a Science.
I choose to believe it.
A real feng shui do not ask u to buy this n buy that like Lilian Too. She just wanna earn for herself.
A real feng shui will require u to put this thing here, put that there, but u find the stuffs ur own, no matter its cheap or expnsive, it still do the job.
Believing in feng shui is not harmful either..
p/s: i never believe in Lilian Too's feng shui, she's just for money. I prefer Yap Ching Hai and Joey Yap |

No it is not a religion at all.
Feng shui is the ancient Chinese practice of placement and arrangement of space to achieve harmony with the environment. Feng shui literally translates as "wind-water."
In its traditional form, Feng shui is a discipline with guidelines that are compatible with many techniques of architectural planning. Space, weather, astronomy, and geomagnetism are basic components of feng shui. Proponents claim that feng shui has an effect on health, wealth, and personal relationships. |

Feng Shui is NOT a religion.
Rather, it is a practice in manipulating the energies and environment around you to make it more balanced - i.e. comfortable, welcoming, calm.
Feng Shui - literal translation from Chinese is "Wind / Water", means that you are manipulating the elements to suit your characteristics, whether you want some influence in your life in the form of health, wealth, luck, love and success etc.
As for believing in Feng Shui, my family practices it a little, but we do not rely wholly on it. We apply it only when we feel like it. So far, it has helped make our living environment more comfortable and welcoming. And occasionally we use it as a show of support by gifting each other the approcpriate Feng Shui piece / advice whenever we are facing problems in life. |

Feng shui is not a religion but rather some theory about arrangement.Since the theory is not scientifically proved, most people aren't convinced.

I guess I am the contrarian here.
I would say it can be considered a religion. You are taking on faith that certain colors and placements can influence and unseen energy - Chi.
Do I believe in it? I am a Christian and do not see salvation in it.
Yet many aspects of it make sense and are worth considering. Placement of object and choice of colors do influence how we react to things.
I read the Feng Shui for Dummies book and it helped understand it. I would suggest reading up and trying some of the suggestions. |

No, definitely not. But I believe in it 'cause it has change my life for the better. When applying feng shui principles, do it one step at a time & don't expect results overnight. My life now compared with 12 months ago has improved tremendously. :-) |
