Malaysia is one of the most famous country in the world thanks to the Petronas Twin Tower, was the tallest building in the world.
i am in Croatia now. i am doubt that many people in Malaysia know where is Croatia. many people around me think Petronas Twin Tower is still tallest building in the world (they did not know about 101 taipei) and they know where is Malaysia.
Malaysia is famous today not because the building itself. the building will not stand for single day if Malaysian do not love to live peace and harmony together.
i was surprise to know that people in Croatia knew Malaysia more than i knew Croatia when i arrived Croatia several months ago.
many people in Croatia think that Malaysia has higher living standard even though they never been to Malaysia(the fact is Croatia has higher living standard). they did not believe me when i told some Croatian that Malaysia still use hand to have meal.
indeed Malaysia is one of most famous country in the world. |

whether its famous or not, it depends on someone's knowldege. If u are ask someone about Malaysia and he/she knew it, mean he/she is knowledgeable and Malaysia is definitely a famous country. Nonetheless, if someone didn't know about Malaysia, POOR little thing, u better stay in Mars and meet those martians... :) |

Yes, Malaysia is a famous country in the world. Malaysia became famous because of their building structure such as KLCC and KL tower. However, Malaysia is known through the involvement in Commonwealth Games. In fact, Malaysia is the host for that game so yea, i would say Malaysia is famous in the world. If anybody who does not know where Malaysia is, they might be from some rural country...i guess. Thank you. |

Malaysia is well known but it isn't the most famous. You asked for an opinion in your question and that is what you are getting.
To Myra_169. Your answer has all the mark of Point-gaming all over it!
It looks like Rooy has posted the question so YOU can tell everyone that it IS most famous and you can get the 2 points.
If Malaysia is the most famous country in the world, surely it does not need someone to post this question to justify it? |

I'd suppose it is one of the most famous. Most of the people whom I talk to seem to know generally where Malaysia is. Malaysia seems to be rising though, but we still have alot of social problems. I think it's famous for its rainforests and some scenic beaches. I think the one at Tioman is.. the 3rd most beautiful beach in the world or something like that. |

Whether Malaysia is famous depends to whom, and where you ask the question.
Most people who have looked at an atlas or globe will have heard of Malaysia. This country's world profile will, I think, increase as Malaysia, along with others on the Pacific Rim, develop more industries.
Here in the U.K., Malaysia is best known for it's cuisine, and automobile imports (Proton being the chief of these). |

What kind of question is this?. Come on, you already know that answer, Malaysia is not the MOST famous country in the world. Maybe if Osama bin Laden was Malaysian, maybe Malaysia can be the MOST infamous. |

It's one of the most famous, but not right at the top. It's probably about the one hundred and sixty-ninth most famous. |

Is this another question asked by a Malaysian looking for compliments? My opinion is no its not. In South East Asia Thailand or Singapore are more well known. |
