Is Singapore a well-known country and a tourist attraction?

Is Singapore famous for its history? A once called British trade port in the East(Located below of Malaysia in South-east asia?)? Has Singapore changed alot in a large scale(everything)?

Singapore is a beautiful city, has an intriguing history, with a wonderful mix of cultures and traditions. Why, the food alone is reason enough to visit! But people don't go there for the food.

They go to shop.

That's right, Singapore is the traditional "Shop-over" on long haul flights between Europe and Australia, New Zealand, Japan and sometimes even Hawaii.

In Changi, Singapore has one of the best-equipped airports in the world. The people are friendly and all speak English, you can pick up some great bargains and get back on your plane as quickly as you like.

I love Singapore, if it weren't for the oppressive heat and humidity I'd think seriously about moving there.

Singapore is a well-known country....as a safe place, clean garden city, friendly people...strict laws (e.g. only country to successfully ban Chewing Gums)....

Singapore has a relatively short history. It was colonised by the British...run by 'British East India Company'. It was conquered by the Japanese during World War 2.

Singapore has changed alot since its colony days... It has been transformed from a small fishing village to regional financial district. Singapore is now filled with tall sky-scrapers and tourist attractions.

Furthermore, in 2009, Singapore will boast 2 new casinos.

Cheers...n hope you enjoy your visit here...

With what it has achieved from a sleepy fishing village to a world-class city status, this tiny country state is the place to be! Modern city where everything works! Effective government, no corruption issues. A melting pot of different races/religions/cultures living in harmony. Low crime rate, no guns, no drugs. A safe city for living and bringing up children. Efficient public transport system. Great variety of food and shopping. Night life and entertainment is not too bad.

Singapore doesnt have many historical sites~ Ya, it's between Malaysia and Indonesia. There are many shopping malls, not very cheap though~ and if u r white, they will be really pleased to welcome you to their country. but if u r colored, then dont bother going to Singapore... they even look down on chineses (singaporeans R chineses)
