although she's a native but it is possible that her ancient ancestors are not native, these genes sometimes reappear.
another possiblity is she has a sickness |

one of her parents may be a foriegner and she just looked like her FIlipino parent but inherited a blue eye on her foriegner parent

Black Hat

Yes, probably one of her parents is a European.
Or, she painted her eyes with water color. |

Yes it is ... due to heritage |

Yeah, but that would have to be considered an abnormality like albinism, gigantism or having facial dimples.
I like them brown. |

just like a blonde Japanese girl... just believe her and go with it. |

Could be a gene that popped up from a long, long, long ago spanish or other European relative. It does happen, but the odds are extremly rare. |

Check the family history. You had many foreigners occupying your country. It is possible that one of your ancestors was from a foreign country with blue eyes and blond hair. It might skip some generations until the genes reappear. |
|

Bookworm

Yup. It's called the effects of a recessive gene. She must have a (Caucasian) foreign relative generations ago.
My grandfather and most of his siblings had grey eyes. My dad and me and my cousins all have dark brown eyes. We are betting amongst ourselves who among our children will inherit those grey eyes :) |

Of course, the islands were conquered by the Spanish and there are blond/ or blue eyed Spanish so if she got the right mix of genes then there you go. |

... and you are absolutely sure that it's the natural color of her eyes?... one thing you should know is that a lot of us native Filipinos are not pure Filipinos |

Yes, if one of the parents got blue eyes or a foreigner. |

Hmmm..if one of her parents is a foreigner with blue eyes, it's possible BUT if she have brown skin and blue eyes, maybe it really is a contact lens after all. |

i totally think its possible.
my cousin is born in philippines, 100% filipino parents, and even if we were to date back to our ancestors, they would be japanese if anything else.
besides the whole background check, here it is: she has purple-grey eyes. naturally. yea. don't ask me how it gets like that. but really. they are. maybe a purple-dark grey. but yea. |

she may have native filipino parents but if she has blue eyes that means she isnt native, she´s got mixed blood within her, else where would she get those blue eyes, everybody knows filipinos only have either brown or black eyes! |
