Well, it is.. I dunno what to say.. u hv a point there.. too bad our shortform is bad.. indonesia-indon, pakistan-paki, bangladesh-bangla, Malaysia-Malas..lol, kinda true for some malaysians.. not all

I assume that you are not malaysian, so just for a note, "malas" in our language means "lazy" hence the similar sort of responses you have got so far.

anyway, to us "malay" only refers to the biggest race in malaysia, the other two fyi is chinese and indians. i do not find it rude to be called malaysian, but if i was called a "malay" it only tells me that the caller doesnt understand the social structure in malaysia. and no biggie. im a malaysian, love to be called malaysian.

Definitely, and it's not fair unless a survey is made and 75% of Malaysians are found to be really lazy(or malas as in Malay). Generalisations for a race or a whole nation of people are very inaccurate and therefore unfair.
