I am white, middle aged and I went from one end of the country to the other, on my own, using the local form of transport and had a ball!!. You have to be sensible, like not walking up a dark alley, or being on your own in the dark, logical sort of stuff you would do at home. Oh, and dress modestly. Yes, I found Malaysia a wonderful place and would dearly love to get back there again |

Yes definately. We have many races and cultures all living peacefully and all are welcome to visit as vistors. To visit our lovely beaches and many historical sites.
Certain states of the country, called The Straits Settlement, were British colonies for more than 150years(before the country gained independence in 1957)
This year is also our visit Malaysia year and there are many tourist attractions set up. |

Malaysia is a great country to visit. Is it safe? As long as you behave normal, don't walk around with the money hanging out of your pockets, huge camera's on your belly etc.. But isn't it like that everywhere?
Thus, come to Malaysia and enjoy this beautiful country.

Don't worry you'll be safe as long as you don't wander around in deserted places. There may be some crimes here but it is not any danger than most countries in the world. |

Sure it is. As long as you made all your plannings and bookings for rooms etc. Nothing will be of any trouble. It is even better to follow a tour so that your safety is definitely their priority to take care of. Thanks for choosing this such wonderful country. Hope you enjoy it!
Ps: By the way, it is spelled 'Malaysia'. |

It's the same answer if I were to ask you "Ist it safe to visit UK alone from Malaysia?".......get the drift? |

Malaysia is a very safe country. Do not worry. If you are white, you will get extra 'better' treatment from the locals..usually. But if you are black...they don't treat you quite as well as the white tourist.....generally. But you will defintely be better treated then us the locals here in Malaysia. Welcome.. |

Yes it is fine, a nice place to be. Just exercise the normal level of caution as others have mentioned before. Treat others as you would expect to be treated, smile say hello, please and thankyou, all the usual normal human stuff and you will enjoy this country immensely.
Nice people here, kinda cheeky, but nice ! |
