Is it true that a bomb has just gone off in Japan?

an explosion - not necessarily a bomb

A small explosion reported at US Army base at Camp Zama, at Kyodo, south of Tokyo. Local police have found the remains of what they are describing as a "launch pad" and believe it was used in some form of attack. No injuries reported

It was a small pipe bomb
Link to article below. If the idea of any Al Qaeda is remotely considered I bet that the next step would be that the Japanese Immigration and National Police authorities will do a immigration sweep. They will go everywhere and look for people who fit their profiles and send them out of the country. Typical reaction from the Japanese police.

Well, they believe it was a small bomb. It's just an explosion offically, though. It went off near a US military base in Japan. Nobody was hurt, however, and nobody really seems to care.

biggimpin
A possible attack on a US military base.

A small one near army base-No one hurt.Good Luck!

Probably those nationalists. It was Japan's National Foundation day on the 11th. They always froth at the mouth at this time of year.
They drive around in black vans playing patriotic music at full blast and shouting right wing slogans. I hate them.

michinoku2001
It's probably a leftist outfit like the Chukakuha who did that. Homemade mortar/rocket devices are a specialty of theirs. February 11th would usually make one think it was the right, but they don't have anything against the US military and aren't into bombs. Could be just one misfit-type who learned how to make a bomb on the internet.

I see nothing online about it.....yet...
