The author correctly states "the end of a World Age", not "end of the world".

No matter. It is only five(5) more years to 2012, including our current year, and what we could perhaps do in between is to enjoy this Age that we live in, for the dawning of the New Age is upon us, and we shall never again see Our Age, which despite its many flaws is ours and ours alone, ever again.

The world will not end December 21, 2012.

Even if the seven-year tribulation period was to begin tomorrow, seven years would bring us to the year 2019. From the end of the tribulation period, the world will continue on through the seven last plagues and the Millennium (a thousand years), to finally be destroyed after the battle of Gog and Magog.

Hey I heard about that! I asked a related question before. There's a book: Heaven is so Real by Choo Thomas. It talks about the end of the world after President Bush's term in 2012. I only got a handful of criticisms... lol. Anyway, honestly, I was quite convinced at first, or maybe I'm just naturally naive. I don't believe in that prophecy anymore. Let's just live our lives shall we?

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that the final year of Gloria Arroyo's term as well? Well, it'll be her "Judgement Day", not the whole world's.

That's according to the Mayan calendar(Mayans - interesting bunch of ancient people!). By the way, I don't believe it will happen because only God knows when that time will be. It could be tomorrow, who knows?

whether it is true or not, just relax, we're all gonna die one day somehow, but better still, continue to learn things for a living, also some survival skills and first aid , you won't know when we would need it. According to scientist an asteroid will break everything but in culture the day of judgement has signs such as the sun rising from the east and we will face God.
An Asteroid that was about to hit earth was recorded and will come back again it happened just this two months in 2008.

No one knows when the end of the world is coming. Only the Heavenly Father knows; not even Jesus Christ know when the end is. Although it is near at hand with the signs of the times for the end are gradually manifesting such as earthquakes, wars, hunger, disrespect, love of money, etc. What all of us can do is to prepare ourselves for the coming of Christ, hoping He will not find us sinful, unbelieving and rebellious.

I am a Christian. In the Bible it says that NOBODY knows the time... not even Jesus. The time will be when nobody expects it, like a thief in the night.

If I remember right, there was a prophecy that predicted the end of the world in 1996, as well. We're still here. :)

Whether that is true or not. We should be prepared all the time.
We do have a own judgment day. It is certain, though, we do not know when its gonna happen. It may be tomorrow, next month, next year, few years from now or on the year 2012. We really don't know. What's important is for us to be open to possibilities that any time soon, we'll have go to another world. So, as long as you live, live your life to the fullest. Do good.

The world could end tomorow and no one knows really when. I personally think its better not to know because that way you can concentrate more on living your life rather than 3 yrs 211 days to go till the world ends. But if it were to end and I had afew years left I would get up the govts behind to find a solution.

Only God knows when the world will end. You just have to be prepared for it.

Only God knows when the world will finally end. There were many predictions in the past about when the world ended but they were proven wrong. What we know and should realized that we are near end times because we have many cults coming out, wars everywhere, lots of new never heard illnesses around, etc. Read the book of REvelation found in the New Testament.

What i will do is to make my days more meaningful by living and leading the Christian life. I am not ashamed of my belief and faith. I will share to others as well as I will establish a closer walk with God through indepth study of His word, spending quality time with HIm. I will not be bothered by earthly concern that much.

who knows. it's an ancient mayan prediction i believe...but there have been tons of additional predictions over the years. remember the Y2K scare? yeah that didn't turn out to be a huge deal. just be a good person, whether or not the world is going to end, and live life to the fullest! :)
