All countries in the world have been blessed with abundance and great resources, some with more than the others. But it's really up to the people how they utilize these natural gifts.
The Philippines, small in size though it may be, has been blessed with a beautiful landscape and bountiful natural resources. Sadly, through many decades of misuse and abuse, the forests have been denuded and the waters, polluted. But blame is not entirely on the people. In the name of progress and modernization, something's got to give. And so we pay the pay for our greed and our ambitions.
This is true in any part of the world. |

The Philippines is what you all decide to make of it.
As long as you think in terms of your family or province, it won't be blessed.
As long as you think in terms of your religion, it won't be blessed.
The only way you, as Filipinos, can call your country blessed is when you start thinking as Filipinos. As a nation of people proud to be members of this great country. |

Why did you have to ask this question?
I hate to be honest but I have seen some bad things among the locals and how they treat each other.
Discrimination among filipino's is bad. Appearance is everything. If your very short, bad dental hygiene and not looking gwapo, you will be denied employment. I can continue with so much negative evidence. I would rather get on my knees and pray for all the poor and neglected kids of the Philippines. |

Philippines was one time a prosperous country. The late dictator Marcos robbed most of the country's wealth and it never recover. May god bless this country again

I think it's somewhat abit of both but then again which country on earth isn't. There are lots of bad and good things in the Pines and me personally I tend to focus on the good which keeps me coming back every chance I get. I like how brutally in your face and honest alot of things are there. For example the people are a real mixed bag and are really interesting to learn more about though they can be difficult I personally like the challenge of understanding the way things go down there. |

As said before, its not bad enough to be cursed. And not good enough to be blessed. But the faith in the Philippines, is really strong and is keeping Filipinos the best they can be. |

Any country is a blessed country. The people just need to learn math properly so they can count the blessings. |

Compared to what. It's not as modern as the west but not as archaic as China. It has oil but no one drilling for it.
There are beautiful people everywhere and poverty is rampant.
The fare is scant here mostly fish and rice. In Somalia they are not eating. There is law and order. The Congo is over run with rapists and murderers. Nothing and no time to eat. Got to run.
Not everyone has a car here. Everyone can breathe the air.
This is a little slice of heaven.
I love it here. |

I'm half filipino, and half spanish but living in australia.
When I went to philippines there was nothing but pollution, and corruption.
The only thing holding philippines together is the pride of filipinos.
